For breakfast, our birthday boy chose Trix cereal, bacon and a yogurt drink. While it might not have been the Big Guy Lowe's choice or mine, we all ate!

When I asked him what kind of a cake/party he wanted, he adamantly replied "A Hotwheels party!" All of our boys love those cars, something that anyone can tell when they enter our home as they are everywhere! I decided to make a race track cake that I would place a few hotwheels on. It was pretty fun to put together!

We were pretty happy with the final product!

Once our friends arrived, we ate some wonderful steak as well as pork tenderloin. If that wasn't enough we also had chicken kabobs with veggies, corn on the cob, a wonderful pototo salad that our friend Sue made, cole slaw, fruit, etc... It was a very satisfying meal (it made up for the breakfast :) I thought at least!!) Then it was time for cake.

I was most satisfied with the cake when I saw the Birthday boy playing with his cars on the track--it must've passed his test!

Next a few games. First, place the car sticker on the track. Second, race car races in actual cars!! The Big Guy Lowe spent a bit of time putting these little beauties together for these races.

They were a hit! What a talented daddy!

Presents came next. Gratefully, this birthday boy knows how to show his excitement for gifts and how to say thankyou. That made it a little easier when we saw how many gifts he had to open.

Mid presents a Birthday greeting came from Grammie Lowe. She's in NM helping with family as they prepare for a new baby!! We're excited for you guys!

Then it was back to presents!

After all that, we called it good! We are so grateful for our good friends Sue and Gary, the Simpers, Grammy and Grandpa HB, Aunts, Uncles and of course cousins that made the birthday so wonderful. But most of all, we are grateful for our wonderful birthday boy who brings smiles and laughter to our lives on a daily basis. We love you sweetie!
