Amid trying to make sure that my arm was healing correctly, we had to help our home get better too. That started on Saturday when they sealed off our kitchen and laundry room and set up huge blowers to attempt to dry the areas out.
When it was discovered that there was soaking wet insulation in the ceiling of the kitchen, it had to come down. We were pretty sad. The repercussions of my "mistake" were definitely growing. :(
This picture shows the restoration company just beginning to cut our ceiling and take it down.
Once the ceiling was down we needed to meet with the contactor to determine when everything would be fixed. At least for a little while we had our kitchen back! We were so grateful for all the yummy meals that our friends brought over during that first week of me being hurt and our kitchen being out of commission!!
We made sure we enjoyed our new "high" ceiling while we had it. Haha.
We'll see how the next phase of construction goes. Wish us luck, eh?
